The Global Excellence Council
The members of the Global Excellence Council (GEC) are the global guardians of Business Excellence. The first meeting of the GEC took place in 2000 with founding members being the Australian Quality Council, BNPQ (USA), EFQM (Europe), JQA (Japan), SAEF (South Africa) and SQA (Singapore).
Business Excellence Australia continues to represent Australia at this premier global forum. Membership of the Council now consists of organisations that are recognised globally as the guardians of the leading Excellence Models and Awards processes in their specific geographical region/area or trading block with all regions of the world being represented on the GEC.
These not-for-profit or government organisations provide mutual learning and sharing of good practices. For BEA, membership of the GEC is an important way to benchmark our Excellence Model and Awards process with other global leaders in Excellence. Our interaction with the GEC helps to guide our future developments as well as enables to share our experiences within this global fraternity.
GEC members support and promote the interests of and activities of each other, participate in cross-national working groups and acknowledge the mutual benefits of sharing and learning activities.
